In Network Industry when we say Fabric it is a combination of multiple technologies of same vendor working to-geather to give a complete/required Outcome to Business.

Every vendor has there own technologies when it comes to fabric solutions.

Cisco has SD-Access solution which is a combination of Switching,Wireless and Cisco ISE combine togeather to form a SD-Access Fabric solution.

Similarly all industry vendors have there own solutions for Fabric solutions.

Fortinet Fabric has multiple Solutions/Fortinet products combined in this.

Fortiget Firewalls - This is used to secure Enterprise network at perimeter level, This is generally a security guard which will allow or deny a traffic of enterprise to go in and out of the network based of rules we create in fortigate firewalls.

Forti-manager - In Fabrci solution Forti-manager is used to manage multiple Firewalls from Single Dashboard.

Similar to Cisco FTD and paloalto Panorama Fortigate has a Forti Manager for fortigate firewalls.

Forti- Analyzer - Some businesses has a requirement to store a logs/security events for Longer duration, Forti Analyzer has a capability to store a logs for longer duration compare to Firewall local database.

Forti-Authenticator - authenticator in a fabric can be used for multilple purpose.

• multi factor Authentication.
• Single sign on.
• Ad integration.
• Ldap configuration.

By using Forti authenticator we can define policies for using with single sign on applications and can use Multi factor authentication for Remote VPN users.

Forti-NAC - Forti nac is similar to cisco ISE were we can do network segmentation of users based of business requirement.

With the help of forti NAC we can also do a posture and profile of users similar to Cisco ISE.
